High-Order DA Methods for the Determination of Poincaré Sections


Abstract

A method to obtain DA approximations of Poincare´ maps directly from a DA approximation of the flow of the differential equation for certain types of flows and Poincare´ sections is presented. Examples of the performance of the method, its computational implementation, and its use for problems in beam physics are given.
